Who We Are

A regenerative venture studio rooted in community and ecology.

GIO Living Lab is a restoration venture studio working at the intersection of ecology, culture, and community livelihoods. We design and test place-based solutions that strengthen ecological and social resilience, and we translate them into ventures that communities can own and sustain.

Our work is rooted in lived landscapes farms, forests, wetlands, and coastal ecosystems where traditional knowledge, especially women’s knowledge, has long protected nature but rarely been valued economically.

Why It Matters

Communities on the frontlines of ecological degradation are also those with the deepest knowledge of how to restore it. Yet they are often excluded from markets, investment, and decision-making. GIO Living Lab and Nebedaí exist to change that—by ensuring that those who care for ecosystems also benefit from them.
