We work across two connected pathways:

GIO Living Lab

GIO is the learning and design engine.

It brings together communities, researchers, practitioners, and innovators to:
Co-create restoration solutions grounded in local realities
Strengthen community governance and cooperative models
Translate research and traditional ecological knowledge into shared values and practical action
Build the foundations for long-term ecological and social resilience
GIO Living Lab is where ideas are tested, trust is built, and systems are understood.

Nebedaí

Nebedaí is where restoration becomes enterprise.

Born from GIO Living Lab, Nebedaí develops women-led, community-owned businesses across:
Agroecology and indigenous food systems
Forest and non-timber forest products
Blue economy initiatives, including women harvesting oysters in mangrove ecosystems
Nebedaí makes the business case for restoration, showing that caring for land and water can generate dignified livelihoods, strengthen food sovereignty, and protect ecosystems at the same time.
